KIM LONG MOTORS ACCOMPANIES IN IMPLEMENTING THUA THIEN HUE PROVINCE PLANNING

On April 6th, 2024, in Hue city, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh led a government delegation to attend the Conference on planning and investment promotion for Thua Thien Hue province in 2024. Mr. Vo Phi Hai, Vice Chairman of the Board and General Director of KIM LONG Motors, attended and spoke at the conference.

The conference was attended by: Mr. Nguyen Khoa Diem, former Politburo member, Central Party Secretary, former Head of the Central Ideology and Culture Commission; Mr. Le Hoai Trung, Politburo member, Head of the Central External Relations Commission; Central Committee members: Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Secretary of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Party Committee Le Truong Luu; leaders of ministries, branches, central and local agencies; representatives of diplomatic agencies, international organizations, the business community and domestic and international investors.

The conference announced the key contents of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister in Decision 1745/QD-TTg dated December 30, 2023; the Decision approving the Master Plan of Thua Thien Hue Province Urban Area to 2045, with a vision to 2065.

The province also provided basic information, potential, advantages, and development orientations; called for attracting large investment resources and modern, advanced technologies from domestic and foreign investors; and awarded investment registration certificates, investment approval decisions, and research documents for projects.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Vo Phi Hai, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of KIM LONG Motors, said: As an enterprise investing in Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone in particular and in Thua Thien Hue province in general, KIM LONG Motors is aware of its responsibility to contribute to realizing the planning set out by the province.

Accordingly, KIM LONG Motors commits to concentrating all resources, accelerating the investment progress, and putting into operation the project phases according to the set plan. Specifically, in the field of automobile manufacturing and assembly, KIM LONG Motors plans to put into operation the entire Commercial Vehicle Assembly Plant with a capacity of 6,800 vehicles/year, focusing on sleeper buses, seat buses, city buses, and mini buses.

In the field of manufacturing automotive components and spare parts, in the period of 2025-2026, KIM LONG Motors plans to start construction and put into operation a number of factories such as: Automobile Seat Factory; Interior, Plastic and Composite Components Factory; Automotive Electrical Wire Factory; Mechanical Processing Complex,...

"We believe that the KIM LONG Motors Automobile, Parts & Components Production Complex will contribute to the transformation of Thua Thien Hue province's production structure towards industrialization, creating jobs for at least 10,000 local workers in the next few years, and contributing more to the provincial budget. This will contribute to creating an important driving force for the economic and social development of Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone, Phu Loc district in particular and Thua Thien Hue province in general," Vice Chairman of the Board, General Director of KIM LONG Motors said.
