KIM LONG MOTOR ACCOMPANYING THE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT OF HUE CITY

The People's Committee of Hue City has just issued a plan to implement the key program for 2025 on economic-technical infrastructure development and industrial development. As a company operating in the automotive industry in the region, KIM LONG MOTOR HUE affirms its pioneering role and commitment to accompanying the city's development strategy.

According to the 2025 plan, Hue City will focus on mobilizing resources to accelerate the completion of key infrastructure projects, especially transport infrastructure projects with connectivity and spillover effects; technical infrastructure projects to develop land funds; and infrastructure investment projects in economic zones and industrial zones to attract investment in industrial development, aligning with the potential and advantages of each locality while ensuring environmental protection.

At the same time, the city aims to restructure the industrial sector and develop industrial production toward higher added value and advanced technology. Maximum resources will be mobilized to invest comprehensively in the infrastructure of economic zones, industrial parks, and industrial clusters, thereby increasing state budget revenues, creating jobs, and improving workers’ incomes.

For industrial development, the city has set specific targets, including an expected increase of 9–10% in the Industrial Production Index (IIP) and an industrial production value of approximately 53,000–54,000 billion VND (a 10.5–11% increase compared to the previous period). In the automotive industry alone, Hue City aims to produce 8,000 vehicles of various types, including 4,000 buses with over 16 seats, 2,600 minibuses with 10–16 seats, and 1,400 trucks.

Thus, the automotive industry is emerging as a key sector in the former imperial capital. Since its inception, the KIM LONG MOTOR HUE automotive manufacturing and assembly industrial park has become a highlight in the city’s economic landscape. Beyond contributing significantly to the state budget, KIM LONG MOTOR HUẾ has also facilitated labor movement and created thousands of new job opportunities.

With a vision to become ASEAN’s leading center for automobile manufacturing, assembly, and auto parts production, the KIM LONG MOTOR HUE complex remains steadfast in its strategic goal of achieving over 80% localization before Q2/2026. In addition to its existing facilities, such as the Bus Manufacturing and Assembly Plant and the Electrophoretic Coating Plant, KIM LONG MOTOR plans to launch several new factories in 2025, including a Truck Manufacturing and Assembly Plant (covering light, medium, and heavy trucks), an Engine Manufacturing Plant, an Axle Manufacturing Plant, and a complex of mechanical factories such as the Stamping and Chassis Production Plant, as well as an Internal Combustion and Electric Passenger Car Assembly Plant.

Simultaneously, KIM LONG MOTOR will continue investing, forming joint ventures, and establishing partnerships to develop a complex of automotive supporting industry plants, including transmission systems, glass, wiring harnesses, and composite plastic components. The operation of these factories will mark a technological breakthrough, contributing not only to the industrial development of Hue City but also to deep integration into the global value chain.

With an ambitious development plan, KIM LONG MOTOR aims to contribute 2,000 billion VND to the state budget in 2025, a 30% increase from 2024. The company also plans to expand its workforce by recruiting an additional 2,000 employees to work at the KIM LONG MOTOR HUE automotive manufacturing and assembly industrial park.
