On the afternoon of September 19, the People’s Committee of Hue City, in collaboration with Tuoi Tre Newspaper, successfully organized the conference “Green Transition and Breakthroughs in Attracting Industrial Investment in Hue City.” As a Gold Sponsor, KIM LONG MOTOR demonstrated its strong commitment to contributing to socio-economic development aligned with the city’s green transition strategy.

Attending the event were leaders from central ministries and agencies, including Mr. Pham Van Quan – Deputy Director of the Department of Industry (Ministry of Industry and Trade), Mr. Nguyen Tuan Quang – Deputy Director of the Department of Climate Change (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), Mr. Nguyen Ba Tu – Department of Climate Change (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), and Ms. Vuong Thi Minh Hieu – Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Investment (Ministry of Finance). On the side of Hue City, participants included Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong – Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, Mr. Phan Quy Phuong – Member of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, Mr. Ha Van Tuan – Vice Chairman of the Hue City People’s Council, along with leaders of departments and agencies across the city.

As Vietnam enters a new era, Hue is standing at the “golden opportunity” to become the capital of green industry in the heart of a world heritage site. The program was held to concretize the policy of developing sustainable green industry, while also promoting Hue’s image as a heritage city pioneering in the green transition strategy and attracting high technology.

The conference provided an opportunity to better identify advantages, challenges, and difficulties, while listening to insights and guidance from experts to find breakthrough solutions in attracting industrial investment in Hue – the sixth centrally governed city of Vietnam. More than just discussions, the event also opened up many potential cooperation and investment opportunities across sectors, contributing to turning Hue into a model green city for the whole country in the future.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Phan Quy Phuong – Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee – emphasized the city’s strategic vision. According to him, Hue is not only known as a heritage and tourism city but is also facing a “golden opportunity” to break through and shape a new industrial model: green industry and smart industry. This is seen as the inevitable path to both economic development and preservation of Hue’s unique cultural and environmental values.

In the first six months of 2025, the city’s GRDP grew by 9.39%, with the target of reaching double-digit growth for the whole year. In its economic structure, industry-construction and services recorded positive growth, highlighted by clean and high-tech industrial projects. Notably, the KIM LONG MOTOR Hue Automobile Manufacturing and Assembly Industrial Park Project is expected to become a driving force in building an automotive industrial ecosystem, enhancing production capacity, technology transfer, and creating thousands of high-quality jobs.
