KIM LONG MOTOR WELCOMES THE DEPUTY MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE OF VIETNAM & THE DELEGATION FOR A WORKING VISIT

Within the framework of the program, the delegation toured the manufacturing plants at the KIM LONG MOTOR Hue Automotive Manufacturing Industrial Park to explore the production lines, automation levels, and practical operational capacities. During the working session, the leadership of KIM LONG MOTOR reported on the overall development model, with a focus on building a comprehensive automotive manufacturing ecosystem.

The company is currently engaged in strategic partnerships with various international partners, such as YUCHAI Group for technology transfer and engine production, DONGFENG DANA for axle systems, and BYD Battery for new energy battery solutions, along with other specialized partners in automotive components and spare parts. Simultaneously, KIM LONG MOTOR is expanding its market through cooperation with KIJSETTHI Mobility in Thailand, step-by-step increasing its regional presence. These partnerships establish a foundation for KIM LONG MOTOR to develop an autonomous supply chain and increase domestic production value.

Notably, the localization roadmap for the 2026–2030 period has been methodically developed, focusing on high-tech components, aiming for sustainable development and long-term competitive enhancement. This direction closely aligns with the Government's policy under Decision 1168/QD-TTg regarding the development of Vietnam's automotive industry.

In 2026, KIM LONG MOTOR identifies this as a phase of accelerated strategy implementation, focusing on expanding production scale and putting into operation the BYD battery plant, the passenger car plant, and a complex of supporting factories. Furthermore, the enterprise is promoting the development of its flagship products, including buses, trucks, cars, and mechanical products, alongside expanding its export markets.

After the tour and report, Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang acknowledged and highly appreciated KIM LONG MOTOR's efforts in investing systematically in manufacturing and technology. The Deputy Minister emphasized that as the automotive industry undergoes a major shift, enterprises committed to substantive manufacturing, mastering technology, and developing domestic supply chains like KIM LONG MOTOR will play a crucial role in realizing the industry's development strategy by 2035. Additionally, the Deputy Minister engaged in direct discussions to listen to and acknowledge the company's proposals regarding challenges in investment, production, localization, export expansion, human resource development, standards, and logistics.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to coordinate with relevant departments to research and propose feasible policies and regulations that suit the practical environment, creating favorable conditions for enterprises to develop stably, enhance competitiveness, and contribute positively to the overall development of Vietnam's industry.

The visit is a recognition of KIM LONG MOTOR's efforts in building a domestic production foundation. With a methodical strategy and the support of the Government and ministries, KIM LONG MOTOR is expected to continue its breakthrough in the coming period, bringing the Vietnamese automotive brand to regional and international markets, affirming the "Made in Vietnam" position in the global value chain.
